With us entering the second half of the year, the best course of action is to take a few moments to reflect & re-center before bracing ourselves for what's yet to come.

Doing this allows us to know where we are so far in the small piece that this year contributes to our bigger picture, how we can move towards our goals should we have found ourselves a little astray, and what we can look forward to with new knowledge gained. These nuggets of wisdom we get by looking back can give us a great idea of the future.

On your next journaling session, try to answer these prompts to set yourself up for the best coming months:

What areas in your life would you say you improved on in the past six months? ****It doesn't matter if these are big, or small. List it down.

  1. Improving is a work in progress. How did you overcome your biggest challenge in developing yourself so far?

  2. What did overcoming those challenges prove to yourself?

  3. The best way to evolve into your best self is to accept that bettering yourself is a cycle. What areas in life do you still want to grow in?

  4. In three words, what new traits did you learn from the past six months that would be helpful in where you are yet to grow?

Your connections

  2. What's one learning you got from spending time with others?

  3. If there is one person or group of people who you feel like you could connect more with, who would it be?

  4. How do you plan on making that time meaningful?

  2. Where do you want to see yourself in the next six months? Think of three main things: what you want to feel, achieve, and learn at the end of the year.

  3. What are three values you would need to get there?

  4. What can you start working on today to be one step closer to your best self?
