How does the treatment feel like?

Minimal heat to nothing may be felt during the treatment due to topical anesthesia. As the laser will be targeting the superficial layers of the skin, it is normal to smell burnt skin.

How long will the treatment be?

Overall treatment time for the Pore-Refining Ritual may take 90 minutes, while the Intense Pore-Refining Ritual takes at most 95 minutes.

Is the application of topical anesthesia included in the treatment cost?

Yes, the application of regular topical anesthesia is always FREE!

A stronger formulation is available for clients who need extra comfort, especially during more intense treatments. This enhanced option comes with an additional cost.

How long is the downtime?

*You might still notice a few tiny dots after 2 weeks but this is normal and is evidence of your skin still healing.

Is there a trick to minimize the downtime?

Yes! The more hydrated your skin is, the lesser days of downtime. See to it that you are being generous to keep your skin’s hydration level up.

• Use face masks – Sheet masks or overnight hydrating masks can provide an extra moisture boost. (after 2-3 days)
• Drink plenty of water – Hydration starts from within! Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily.
• Avoid harsh skincare products – Stay away from alcohol-based toners, exfoliants, or strong actives that can further irritate skin.
• Protect with SPF – Sun exposure can prolong downtime—always wear sunscreen, even indoors.

*Simply Skin offers an anti-inflammatory cream that you may consider using after your treatment to help soothe the skin and support recovery.

How should I prepare before the treatment?

4 week:

• Have not done any ablative laser procedures, chemical peels, dermabrasion

2 weeks:

• Are not sunburnt, peeling from sun exposure

1 week:

• Have not done any laser treatments, no Retin-A, Retinol, or Tretinoin

3 days:

• Have not used any strong chemical peeling products such as glycolic acid (more than 10%), lactic acid (more than 10%), salicylic acid (more than 2%); have not used any whitening products containing: kojic acid, hydroquinone

How will the procedure go?

How should I properly maintain my skin after the treatment?

Do's:

• Sleep with your head elevated for two nights using two pillows to minimize swelling
• Keep the area dry within the next 12-24 hours
• Use a gentle cleanser on your face for 3 days
• Consistent application (and re-application) of sunblock with at least SPF 30
• Apply a gentle moisturizer 2-3 days after the treatment

Dont's:

• Do not wash the area for at least 12-24 hours
• Avoid sun exposure to the area for 2-3 weeks
• Do not use harsh soap or skincare products like exfoliating acids or astringents for the next 1-2 weeks to prevent irritation
• No make-up, friction, or excessive sweating for 3 days

When should I repeat the treatment for maximum results?

For optimal results:

• Lift + Restore Ritual – Recommended every 4 weeks to maintain firmness and support skin recovery.
• Intense Lift + Restore Ritual – Best repeated every 4 weeks for deeper repair and long-lasting improvements.

Will one session be enough to reveal tighter and brighter skin?

Initial results can be seen in seven days, and will continuously improve over the next 4-6 weeks. To see major improvements, we recommend at least 5 sessions. However, please consider that the number of sessions depend on pigment severity, skin condition, consistency of treatment, medication taken and/or hormonal conditions.
