Three Great New Ways To Celebrate Every Woman This Year

Start or step up your way of celebrating women this month and for days to come.

Every March marks a celebration of women's journeys— their different stories, struggles, and victories alike. It's a time to recognize how far we've come and what else we can do to make things even better for those next in line.

It's the very spirit that we celebrate as Women in Progress®️, and although this is something we like to keep alive always, and in all ways, we can't help but think of the many ways we can recognize every woman even more this month.

In case you're one of us who wants to continue finding ways to support every Woman in Progress®️ and how to step it up once in a while, try these celebration level-ups we're trying out. Not just for the month, but always:

If your way to celebrate is through support

Your first steps look like this:

Actively listening | Rooting for them | Seeing their potential

Your new way to celebrate:

If you're looking to step it up, try to move beyond your circle (while keeping a close eye on them, still) and seek which communities need a little bit more support. They can be neighbors, colleagues, or strangers who are going through as much progress as you are. Remember, support comes and presents itself in different ways. Use whatever resources— immaterial or material— you can extend. The ripple effect will be more than you'd expect.

For change-making support:

Work together with your favorite causes. Without us knowing it, a shared post or a word within our circles could help build awareness of things we might overlook. Try to work with organizations that put causes front-and-center like For the Future PH, an organization working with different Philippine communities for relief and support.

Your first steps look like this:

Understanding their different stories to open opportunities & find solutions for them.

Your new way to celebrate:

If ever an opportunity arises, try to think of women close to you who may have trouble doing rigorous activities on your next hangout and include ones they can enjoy. With that simple gesture, you're able to count them in (and not feel bad about missing out!)

For a celebration made for everyone and every (skin) story:

Your first steps look like this:

Understanding everyone’s role in making safe spaces for every Woman (and man) in Progress®.

Your new way to celebrate:

Creating progress for women won't be a one-person job. Our collective decisions help pave the way for those next in line. Try to make sure it's a space where everyone can thrive in. For a new way to celebrate this step, we can start making conversations. No matter how hard they might be. It might seem like a simple step up, but we often overlook the value of talking about tough topics in fear of being judged or the anticipation of awkwardness. Doing it, however, opens up so many opportunities to learn from each other and grow an understanding of how we could move forward even better.

For talking about hard things— and why we should do it:

Life Kit's podcast about 'Why Talking About Hard Things Makes Whole Dimensions Open Up' lets us in on the impact of having tough conversations in different ways. Our favorite, most interesting line: expecting and accepting a lack of closure. Find out how it makes sense with paying it forward by listening to the podcast here.

Whenever you can, try to integrate these ways this month in the spirit of Women's Month. When you're ready and fully open to taking these actions into routine, see what types of changes happen within and outside your range of view!
